Polkaros – Ceramic Studio Intern

We are a lifestyle brand that focuses on handcrafted ceramic goods and sharing our craft through workshops at our studio located in Chinatown.

We are looking for a craft enthusiast who is keen to learn and provide support in the different areas of our lifestyle brand that focuses on handcrafted ceramic products and workshops.

Interns will experience different aspects of our business and provide assistance in the following areas:

• Workshop facilitation and support
• Pre and post-workshop studio duties - set up & clean up
• Post-workshop duties - trimming, glazing and kiln loading and unloading etc
• Studio maintenance - recycling of clay, cleanliness of studio etc.
• Admin work eg. management of workshop participants list
• Photo shoot and product launches
• Social media management

General Requirements

• Applicant should currently be taking or have taken a diploma/degree/major related to Fine Arts, Design or Marketing & Communications
• Basic knowledge and experience in pottery will be a plus
• Interests in crafts and working with their hands
• Punctual, responsible, and well-organized individual
• Good communication skills with a positive outlook
• Willing to work on weekends and evenings
• A minimum commitment period of 6 months
