Persatuan Pemudi Islam Singapura – Intern – Corporate Communications

Our History

Founded in 1952, PPIS (Persatuan Pemudi Islam Singapura or the Singapore Muslim Women’s Association) is a non-profit organisation focused on community services. We are dedicated to working with women of all ages in carrying out their multiple roles in society. PPIS runs three core community services namely Family Services, Student Care and Early Childhood Education (ECE). With 17 centres island-wide, the services work together to provide quality and holistic support as well as developmental programmes for women and their families across the different phases of their lives.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Corporate Communications Department with policies, work standard operating procedures (SOPs) and flowchart documents review and updates
• Media monitoring, track coverage and update reports
• Liaise with internal stakeholders to draft, edit, layout design and publish news and updates through the Intranet, newsletters and other communications material
• Assist in Corporate Communications activities

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a degree in Communications, Public Relations, Business, Political Science or related field
• Able to commit for a minimum of 4-6 months.
• General understanding of the Malay/Muslim non-profit landscape
• Proficient in MS Office and design software
• Familiar with creative content production including design, photo and video editing software.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Prior experience in journalism, public relations or corporate communications is a plus
