Job Description

Job Purpose

  • The purpose and objective of this position is to continuously improve the global logistics processes and systems within existing project management tools in terms of quality, delivery reliability and productivity
  • This includes independently defining, optimally designing and executing local, regional and global logistics processes while considering cost, efficiency and process quality to ensure on-time and service-oriented delivery to all internal and external customers
  • Another task and goal is the creation of analytical solutions, reports and tools to support and optimize operational and strategic logistics
  • This also includes the establishment and improvement of standards and processes to ensure data quality


Major Accountabilities

Data Analyst

  • Design and implement reports, tools, dashboards and ad-hoc analyses
  1. Align with the needs arising from the logistics strategy
  2. Evaluate and optimize logistics processes in close cooperation with process experts, e.g. during projects by providing data
  3. Evaluate the effectiveness of the logistics strategy (e.g. balanced scorecard)
  4. Support the strategy development process through data analysis
  5. Carry out error analysis
  • Determine, introduce and maintain suitable logistics key figures
  • Introduce and manage monitoring systems
  • Determine and compare logistics costs, e.g. for alternative processes
  • Identify innovation and optimize potentials, including detailed research of new possible solutions
  • Support stakeholders during requirements specification and independently implement the analytics solution (from data source creation to achieved user acceptance)
  • Support operational owners and users of logistics analytics solutions
  • Maintain, improve and train users for systems, processes and tools within logistics and direct interfaces
  • Contribute actively to the further establishment of Logistics Analytics at P+F, e.g. by guiding logistics staff towards a data-driven way of working and working closely with other data enthusiasts in Tableau user groups (tactical BI / expert panel)
  • Being the central interface to IT for data source customization, data transformation and integration


Process Engineer

  • Collaborate with WITRON Specialist to plan and monitor modification packages and ad-hoc changes within WITRON
  • Create IT Demands for optimization of system processes as well as planning and development of M3 IBRIX
  • Collaborate in logistics planning for new projects, relocation and expansion measures as well as procurement of new systems and machines
  • Collaborate in new planning and optimization of warehouse areas (e.g. in planning, supplier selection, providing support during assembly)
  • Perform process analysis (within logistics), capacity planning of logistics areas (e.g. warehouse, transport), define new requirements and create work instructions for logistics, implement logistics training courses
  • Create low-code and no-code programs with outside system. Project Implementation and Process Optimization
  • Execute, coordinate and manage logistics projects identified and approved within the ‘project radar’
  • Define and design as well as optimize and audit logistics processes
  • Coordinate, supervise and implement logistics projects at the site and across sites in cooperation with internal and external interfaces / departments
  • Prepare, document as well as execute and moderate workshops
  • Carry out project documentation
  • Analyze transaction data and derive optimization potentials
  • Determine training needs and support users in process or system changes
  • Execute process and product trainings as well as develop and create corresponding documents (work instructions and training documentation)


Job Specification

  • Completed university studies, ideally with a focus on logistics or several years of experience in logistics and IT relevant processes
  • Preferably having relevant working experience in an industry which fosters logistics skills
  • Welcome degree graduate in logistics/supply chain management
  • Project management skills
  • Knowledgeable in WMS & M3
