Job Description

Cake Chef (Urgent Hiring!) - Central Kitchen


Are you a passionate and skilled Cake Chef looking to create delicious masterpieces in a fast-paced central kitchen environment? Join our team and be a key player in ensuring the consistent production of high-quality baked goods that delight our customers.

What You'll Do

As our Cake Chef, you'll be the heart of our pastry production. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Creating Masterpieces: Prepare, bake, and garnish beautiful cakes and pastries that meet our high-quality standards.
  • Quality Control: Maintain strict quality control procedures to ensure every product that leaves our kitchen is perfect.
  • Operational Excellence: Oversee daily operations, manage inventory, and assist with cost control and budgetary planning.
  • Team Collaboration: Work alongside a dedicated team, sharing your knowledge and assisting with packing and preparation to ensure a smooth workflow.
  • Maintaining Standards: Keep our kitchen and equipment impeccably clean and organized, ensuring compliance with all established standards.

What We're Looking For

We want a creative and meticulous individual who thrives under pressure and is dedicated to their craft. The ideal candidate will have:

  • A certificate in baking or a related field (e.g., Pastry and Baking).
  • At least one year of experience as a pastry chef.
  • Strong knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and equipment.
  • Excellent organizational skills and a keen eye for detail.
  • The ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • A proactive, dependable, and team-oriented attitude.
  • A valid WSQ Food Hygiene Certificate is a plus.

*Please note that this role requires flexibility. You should be available to work rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
