The Role

We’re looking for a Marketing & Account Executive to join our growing dynamic team — a hungry team player who has the vision to take the studio to greater heights with us.

The role of the Marketing & Account Executive begins with bridging the commercial with the creative. They keep each project on track for delivery and future resource planning. In building strong client relationships, they craft an environment where creativity flourishes — ensuring clear and timely briefings from the client and strategic resources from the studio. They’re also sensitive enough to the client’s commercial requirements, and have business savvy to develop new accounts and grow the role of Parable with existing clients. As leaders within Parable, they are also able to facilitate effective team outcomes and manage high-stress tasks with aplomb. They also have a passion to develop marketing platforms and opportunities for Parable and its clients, having a strong understanding of strategies and tactics for B2B and B2C digital marketing.

Leadership:

  • Have a clear vision for the day to day project tasks in coordinating creative processes
  • Provide support for Directors in strategy and ideation for clients, and in studio branding and marketing efforts
  • Able to adjust leadership styles according to the situation, knowing when to direct, empower and appropriate times to intervene
  • Lead by example in delivering creative excellence.
  • Demonstrate presence and humility as an external and internal ambassador for the studio.

  • Build good relationships with clients and establish trust and credibility, by developing professional respect and personal friendships.

  • Works to raise the client’s creative standards
  • Solid knowledge of technical processes and craft skills required across branding and graphic design channels. Know when to call the technical expert in, and when they can cover it themselves
  • Knowledge of planning and effectiveness tools

Commercially savvy:

  • Thoroughly understands the client’s business
  • Actively seeks opportunities for business development
  • Lead and negotiate with clients when it comes to project costs and scopes of work, financially rigorous in reporting, billing and budgeting
  • Actively avoids wastage in time and cost to increase studio profitability
  • Able to foresee potential challenges and plan contingencies to meet them

Skills & Experience required:

  • Tertiary qualified in Communications, Design, Business, Marketing or related fields
  • Preferable to have internship experience or 1-2 years in creative industries, business development or marketing, managing clients and stakeholders within creative environments
  • Proven successful project management track record
  • Passionate about Design, Branding, Art, Culture and Interior Design
  • Ability to run meetings, present and sell creative ideas and provide strategic thinking
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Team player, able to motivate others towards deadlines
  • Proactively contribute to positive studio culture
  • Basic proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Indesign) would be ideal
