Our Background:

Outdoor School Singapore is expanding! Since 2019, we have partnered schools, parents, and organisations to support children’s learning beyond the four walls of a regular classroom. By providing fun and multi-sensory programmes in nature all year round, we aim to nurture generations of confident and responsible global citizens who value and appreciate our natural environment.

We welcome interested candidates who are passionate about working with children aged 4-11 to submit their resumes even if they do not meet all the below prerequisites as the necessary training will be provided.

Responsibilities:

Programme Planning and Design

• Design, plan and prepare activity content to add value to children’s learning

• Undertake appropriate risk assessments and planning for health and safety measures

• Ensure all activities are aligned with the Standard Operating Procedures

Programme Implementation

• Deliver safe and effective activities in accordance with programme aims and objectives

• Uphold excellent customer service

• Ensure the welfare and safety of all participants (including teachers) throughout the programme

Relationship building and communication

• Assist in training and managing Adjunct Outdoor Instructors

• Work closely with colleagues to ensure effective communication of the resourcing needs to deliver high-quality programs and experiences

• Communication amongst parents, schools, and staff to ensure effective and safe activities – registration, feedback, etc.

Requirements

• Passion towards nurturing children through outdoor adventure learning and nature

• A degree/diploma in Early Childhood Education / Outdoor / Adventure Learning is preferred

• At least 2 years of relevant experience in a similar capacity; conducting outdoor-related programmes (for children preferred) / facilitation/education workshops

• Comfortable with facilitating outdoor activities with children aged 4-11

• Exhibit classroom management skills and ability to motivate and engage children 

• Valid Child CPR + AED First aid certificate is a plus

• Currently residing in Singapore

• Available to start work within one month’s notice
