We’re looking for a Media & Content Coordinator Intern to join our close-knit team and help elevate queer storytelling in the region.

Job Description

What You’ll Be Doing

This is a hands-on, high-impact role—perfect for anyone passionate about digital media, content creation, and LGBTQIA+ advocacy. Your responsibilities will break down (percentage-wise) as:

  • 60%: Owning end-to-end video editing (YouTube, Shorts, IG Reels); managing two student editors, audio tuning, post-production, publishing
  • 20%: Shaping narrative and story arc of episodes (long-form and short-form); working closely with the founder to align content with our mission
  • 20%: Ad-hoc and start-up tasks—content calendar, trend-spotting, supporting live recordings, events, and more

You’ll also:

- Curate and consolidate YouTube Shorts and social media clips, always with an eye for what’s fresh, funny, or viral

- Help manage our content calendar and production timelines

- Influence the pulse and personality of our brand, as well as queer culture in Singapore, and potentially beyond

- Design and/or edit simple graphics, thumbnails, and infographics for episodes

- Come up with captivating copywriting to accompany content

- Monitor audience engagement and compile analytics reports

- Participate in brainstorming sessions for content and outreach strategies

- Provide on-set and logistical support during recordings

- Provide ad-hoc support for the occasional public event

What We’re Looking For

- Basic video editing skills are a must (Adobe Premiere Pro, CapCut, or similar)

- Project management skills or leadership potential—you keep things moving

- Basic design, photography, and/or videography skills are a plus (Canva, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator etc.)

- Creative storytelling instincts and a sharp eye for social media trends

- Detail-oriented, self-starter, and proactive

- Passion for start-up culture, queer stories, and building something meaningful from scratch

- Open to all backgrounds: Polytechnic students, university students, fresh grads, or anyone with relevant skills and passion are welcome to apply

- Needless to say, you need to be at least a LGBTQI+-affirming ally

Internship Details

- Part-time (approx. 20 hours/week) over 6 months, with an option to extend

- Hybrid: ~12 hours/week in-person (evenings at a JustCo outlet), rest remote/flexible

- Competitive stipend

- Start date: ASAP

What You’ll Walk Away With

- Real-life start-up experience in media production and brand-building

- A diverse portfolio spanning editing, producing, design, marketing, and storytelling

- Insights into building a queer brand with regional ambitions

- The skills and confidence to launch your own media project, or thrive at an agency or creative studio

Queer, curious, and courageous are all welcome here.
