OM Materials (S) Pte Ltd (“OMS”), based in Singapore, is a wholly-owned subsidiary of OM Holdings Limited, that handles the logistics, procurement, marketing, and distribution activities of the Group.
With a long history of marketing ores and ferroalloys, OMS possesses an extensive trade network and an edge in connecting raw materials with buyers and users. We are looking for a proactive and analytical HR & Admin Intern to join our HR team. This internship offers hands-on exposure to HR operations, HR technology systems, and HR data analytics, while contributing to projects that improve the organisation’s HR processes and digital capabilities.
The intern will also support a key strategic initiative to research and develop a prototype for an internal performance management application, providing an opportunity to gain experience at the intersection of HR, data analytics, and digital transformation.

HR & Admin Intern
Key Responsibilities
HR Operations
- Gain exposure to HR operations including recruitment, onboarding, employee engagement, and other employee lifecycle processes.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date recruitment and training records and ensure timely updates across tracking sheets and internal databases.
HR Analytics and Process Improvement
- Assist the HR team in reviewing and streamlining existing HR workflows to improve operational efficiency.
- Support documentation and enhancement of HR Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Identify opportunities to improve HR administrative processes through digital tools or automation.
- Assist in building HR dashboards using tools such as Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or similar data visualisation platforms to support workforce analytics and reporting.
HR Technology & Digitalisation Project
- Conduct research on HR technology platforms and performance management systems.
- Support the design and development of a prototype for an internal performance management application.
- Work with the HR team to gather requirements and propose features that improve the organisation’s performance review processes.
- Assist in evaluating potential tools, workflows, or digital solutions that can enhance HR operations.
Employee Engagement & Events
- Assist in planning and supporting staff engagement activities, company initiatives, and internal events.
Other Duties
- Provide administrative and project support to the HR team as required.
- Perform other HR-related tasks assigned during the internship period.
Requirements
- Undergraduate currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Industrial-Organisational Psychology, Business, Communications, Data Analytics, or related fields.
- Strong interest in HR operations, HR analytics, or HR technology.
- Good analytical, organisational, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Familiarity with data analysis tools, dashboards, or basic app development concepts is an advantage.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
