Key Duties/Tasks
Market Competitiveness
  • Assesses market competition by comparing the product division’s product to competitors' products
  • Work with training unit, sales teams and connect with customers to evaluate product performance to develop product sales strategies.
  • Review existing product/packaging and recommend marketing communication messaging to defend/improve market share
  • Support the development of strategic sales proposals based on evaluation of business opportunities
New Product Creation and Product Management
  • Analyse market demand and supply forces, manage resources and time schedule for new product launches
  • Determine new product pricing by utilizing market research data (if available) and competitor’s pricing versus development cost, cost of sales and corporate overhead cost to achieve targeted gross margins.
  • Introduce and market new products by developing integrated product rollout plans with training unit, sales, marketing and shared services teams.
  • Keep abreast global industry trends and education technology to identify new opportunities
  • Work with Training Manager to address customers' requirements
  • Work with Training Manager to develop product solutions to support sales and client's needs
Strategic Partnership Management
  • Manage key partnerships to fulfil/exceed performance commitment
  • Develop regular communication channels with key partners, NTUC SEs and LM to build trust and confidence
  • Source and recruit new best-in-class partnerships to increase the product family or product division value proposition to customers
Alignment with Government & Regulatory Requirement
  • Monitor and evaluate impact of government initiatives and regulatory changes on the product strategies
  • Leverage on government initiatives and regulatory changes to optimize product offering and capture new market segment or improve existing market share
Business Performance Reporting
  • Analyse actual product sales data and provide short-term and mid-term product sales forecasts for management
  • Review product sales performance and recommend strategies and develop action plans to sustain or improve performance
  • Contributes ideas and provide support to organisational level initiatives
  • Promote and support the organization’s service, productivity and innovation culture
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by participating in relevant conferences, reviewing professional publications and establishing personal networks

Qualifications

  • Degree or the equivalent in Business Innovation & Management or other disciplines with at least 5 years of relevant working experiences
  • Candidates with product management experience in the training & education sector is an added advantage
  • Candidates with experience in the service industry is an added advantage
  • Possess ACTA Qualification is preferred
  • Experience in using social media/cloud-based applications and MS Office Application (Words, Excel & Powerpoint)
  • In depth knowledge of Product Division assigned product families
  • Knowledge in L&D consultation and TNA function
  • Knowledge in competitive analysis, market research and product management
  • Understanding of P&L management
  • Understanding of WSQ/SF and WSQ/SF requirements
  • Analytical skills for problem solving and decision making
  • Competency in using Microsoft Office for report writing and presentation
  • Personal effectiveness skills in time management and task organization
  • Customer focused and a service excellence mindset
  • Possess strong presentation and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Good team player with a willingness to learn
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure
