NTUC Income Insurance Co-operative Ltd – Summer Internship 2021- Digital Payment

We are starting a new digital team to innovate, design and implement a seamless payment experience to our customers across all platforms like mobile, web, branch, adviser-assisted etc. We will work with business users and internal stakeholders to define and lead the payment experience for the customers. We are looking for a highly innovative and motivated person to join the team to help innovate and design the payment hub to meet business and technology challenges at an organisational and industry level.

The Payment Hub project is building the foundation to support future payment digitalization, and it consist of 3 key focus:  

1. Modernizing Digital Payment by enabling digital payment option- to support new collection and payment methods that are popular with modern and web savvy customer in the digital economy.

2. Consistent customer touch point for a standardized UI and UX - ready to integrate with existing and future customer touch points, apps and partners to offer a standardized and consistent payment experience for all Income products.

3. Improve efficiency, resiliency and security of payment processing – setting up of messaging infrastructure, using a centralized secured storage of sensitive payment data and adopting a API integration approach for the core systems will lead to a more efficient, reliable and secured backend processing of all payment centrally, so as to better meet the demands and challenges of any modern advanced digital payment methods and e-payment regulations.

Roles you may play in a typical day includes:

Advisor: A key part of our payment hub is exposing them for our customers or partners to use. We make this possible by documenting them and creating useful examples for them to understand the system.
Programmer: Our payment hub may be used by our public-facing website, mobile apps, and external clients. We will need to build some parts of our payment APIs and webpage from scratch so experience with programming and object-oriented language is a plus.
Pioneer: There may be new technologies and development techniques introduced by the payment hub platform. We will need to evaluate these new technologies and find creative ways to adapt them to our current environment
Investigator: Do you like getting to the bottom of a problem? Our payment hub play a central role in how all of our payment interaction so switching gears and tracking down potential bugs can come at a moment’s notice.
