Job Description

As a Community Care Programmes Intern , you will support programmes that enhance the well-being of seniors through resident engagement, companionship, programme coordination and community initiatives. Depending on operational needs, you may also support volunteer engagement and end-of-life companionship programmes.

No prior healthcare experience is required. Training and mentorship will be provided.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the planning and execution of resident programmes, activities and community events.
  • Engage and provide companionship to seniors through meaningful interactions and activities.
  • Assist with programme logistics, volunteer coordination and administrative support.
  • Work with multidisciplinary teams to enhance residents' well-being and experience.
  • Observe residents' well-being and escalate concerns to staff when appropriate.
  • Maintain confidentiality and comply with organisational policies and volunteer guidelines.

 

Qualification

  • Currently pursuing a Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Allied Health, Social Work, Psychology, Gerontology, Healthcare Management, Community Services or other related disciplines.
  • Passionate about serving seniors and the community.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
  • Compassionate, proactive and a collaborative team player.
