Job Description
The Regional Operations team is looking for a Regional Mechanical Engineer intern to join our Automation Team. The candidate will support the development of automation in operations and help the senior engineer in projects to roll out automation system across the region. You will support the Department’s objectives to help develop organisation structure for scale and be involved in the end-to-end process from solution designing, system evaluation, implementation to troubleshooting. Executing these new initiatives is extremely challenging. Responsibilities:
  • Consolidate and vet proposals submitted by vendors for machine capability, match of requirements and possible loopholes
  • Data analysis to highlight good or poor performance of automation solutions
  • Prepare and support prototype testing
  • Search and gather new potential technologies for implementation to improve current processes in our warehouses 
  • Assist in data gathering, reporting and general office task

Requirements:
  • Able to commit on a full-time/part-time basis for at least 3 months, ideally starting in January 2021
  • University undergraduate with a background in mechanical, industrial or electrical engineering 
  • Proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint or similar types of software applications
  • A self-motivated and quick-witted learner that thrives in a fast-paced start-up environment
  • Meticulous, with keen attention to details
  • Ability to organize and make visually complex information coherent, structured and easily understandable
