Naval Group Far East Pte. Ltd. – Warehouse Operator Intern

Naval Group designs, builds, integrates, provides in-service support, dismantles, and deconstructs submarine and surface ships. As an industrial contractor, designer, and overall integrator of whole warships and combat systems, it also offers a full range of services to naval bases and shipyards. We are a prime contractor, designer, and integrator of naval systems, with over 400 years of experience in naval shipbuilding. The wholly-owned subsidiary, Naval Group Far East has established in Singapore since 2005 and plays a crucial role in supporting the activities of the Republic of Singapore Navy (RSN).

Responsibilities:

Warehousing / Inventory Management

• Coordinate pick-up of shipment from carrier / transport company
• Receive and check cargoes in warehouse
• Manage documentation and data entry (order processing / warehousing management / inventory management)
• Prepare storing order and put-away of cargoes
• Coordinate distribution of documents
• Conduct periodic cycle count
• Prepare outbound shipment (picking / sorting / packing / marking / labelling)
• Coordinate delivery and distribution of cargoes 

Freight Forwarding / Transport Management

• Calculate freight charges
• Perform documentary checks on related transport freight / documents
• Prepare transport / freight documents
• Coordinate collection of documents from carrier / customer
• Coordinate shipping information and documentation with carrier / overseas agent
• Coordinate booking with carrier / transport company
• Distribute pre-advice to consignee / overseas office / agent / customer
  • Learn and operate a Reach Truck
  • Learn and utilise ERP-SAP B1

Requirements:

• Nitec or Higher Nitec in Logistics/Warehouse Management or its equivalent
• You should possess a curious mindset and have the ability to work in a multicultural team
• Prior working knowledge in a warehouse using SAP B1 will be advantageous
