Job Description

Internship Posting: Art Curation Intern, Nair Pte. Ltd

We’re  seeking an energetic intern to assist the firm with our lifestyle and  philanthropic activities in the art and heritage space. During the  course of the internship, the intern will be involved with our art  collection, assisting with the interpretation of our heritage materials,  and facilitating our activities with non-profits and heritage  institutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Researching and generating writeups on the cultural significance and historical background of various art works and artifacts
  • Evaluating and compiling provenance of various artworks and artifacts
  • Cataloging and generating descriptions of various artworks and artifacts
  • Art investment-related activities that involve analysis and evaluation
  • Interacting with and reviewing loan and donation agreements with non-profits and heritage institutions
  • Other administrative tasks relating to our art collection

Requirements: 

  • Has  taken courses in, minored, or majored in Art, History, Archaeology,  Museum Studies, Cultural Studies, or other related fields
  • A firm grasp of English and general writing skills
  • A strong sense of curiosity and professional drive
  • An interest in Indian and Singaporean art
  • An interest in the curatorial space
  • The ability to commit to a 4- to 6-month part-time internship
