Job Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic Business Development Executive who will be responsible for identifying, qualifying and reaching out to line-up new business opportunities for Mutant’s content team. 

This person will be working closely with the content marketing team to drive the sales pipeline, supporting the content team for growth opportunities. The candidate will be expected to deliver to targets and work with a high level of professionalism. This role requires a clear explanation and demonstration of Mutant’s content marketing capabilities, proactively reaching out to new business contacts to maximise the potential number of pitches. 

The role will report directly to the Managing Editor. 

The role responsibilities include:

  • Identify, research, qualify and connect with new business leads for the content marketing team to generate a healthy sales pipeline for Singapore & Malaysia offices 
  • Weekly updates on the content sales pipeline 
  • Liaising on a daily basis with potential clients, often via telephone and email
  • Project management  to ensure lead pipeline is generated and updated to drive traction and close sales 


We are looking for a self-starter, someone that has an awesome personality, enjoys working in a close-knit team, and is never afraid to share their opinion. The successful applicant will be a confident communicator, building the confidence and interest of prospective clients to boost the sales pipeline for Mutant’s content team. 


The ideal candidate will have:

  • 1 year of experience in business development. Fresh graduates looking to build a business development career in an agency environment are welcome. 
  • Drives high quality work and manages deadlines effectively 
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in all work 
  • Has an excellent command of the English language 
  • Has excellent attention to detail
