Mighty Velo is Singapore’s sole distributor of performance foldable bikes manufactured by Pacific Cycles of Taiwan for the SEA markets. We are an independent Singaporean-owned SME with a group of staff, both full-time, part-time staff  (who are ex-interns now back in university) and interns who work closely together to ensure that our customers go home with their bikes happy and satisfied and there is a vibrant online community of cyclists and folding bike enthusiasts.

We have four locations: a Bike Building and Distribution Warehouse, a Technical Service Centre, our Marketing and HR Office headquartered at Tai Seng, as well as our Bike Experience store located at Breadtalk IHQ Building.

Job Description

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform online research on government schemes and training support programmes that are relevant and useful to the company such as SG Traineeship Scheme, PMax, Career Support.
  • Online navigation and effective use of government portals.
  • Write appropriate content for job openings and post on various job posting platforms.
  • Arrange for job interviews with shortlisted candidates.
  • Prepare potential interns' resumes and participate in internship interview screening.
  • Filing of medical certificates and process payouts to staff for medical allowance.
  • Organise company expenses and receipts for submission to external accountant/auditor.
  • Involve in product photography, product styling and lifestyle shots (studio and outdoor).
  • Reply customer enquiries and provide timely online customer service support.

 

LEARNING OUTCOMES & OBJECTIVES: 

  • To be able to understand the role of Human Resource as a fundamental part of organisation.
  • To be able to gain experience in performing the duties of an HR personnel in the retail and distribution industry.
  • To be able to develop good problem-solving skills and develop effective face-to-face and online written communication with potential candidates and suppliers.
  • To learn how to use Digital Marketing/eCommerce platforms such as Workplace by Facebook, Shopify, Facebook Suite, Google Business and Carousell apps.

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Recent diploma or Degree in Design, Marketing, Mass Communication or presently studying diploma or degree course in Communications, Marketing or Business
  • Good written and spoken English
  • Have gumption to try new ways of doing work even it is unfamiliar to you at first
  • Able to meet deadlines
  • Keen interest in social media and national news 
  • A team player who is able to laugh at yourself and with a positive personality
