Job Description

The Role:

The successful intern will support the Head of Corporate and Business Development, Asia Pacific, in the area of business management activities and providing market research to support the development of regional strategy for the Asia Pacific business. The role will provide opportunities to interact and work with various teams within the organisation including Distribution, Operations, Finance and Compliance.

Key Work Level Accountabilities: Colleague

  •  Accountable for delivering a quality service and product to customers and stakeholders
  • Focuses on quality of delivery to achieve clear outputs within guidelines and precedent
  • Runs the organisation's processes and systems following pre-defined procedures
  • Adapts to change, responds with initiative and make suggestions for improvements to own work and processes

 Key Responsibilities for this role:

The successful intern is expected to

  • Assist in conducting market research in areas including asset management industry developments, investor trends, competitors activities and market opportunities etc
  • Assist in the production of management reports and presentation decks for internal and external meetings
  • Assist in tracking the sales activities and evaluate its effectiveness and progress vs plan on a regular basis
  • Work closely with Head of Corporate Strategy and Business Development, Asia Pacific, to review existing reporting work processes and provide recommendation to streamline/automate the process to allow greater efficiency
  • Act as a flexible resource and assist in coordinating strategic and business projects of the firm

 Key Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

The successful intern should be a self-starter who has the ability to use their own initiative and work with individuals across different teams in the organisation.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Skilled in Data Visualization/Business Intelligence (BI) tools will be an added advantage
  • Possesses good written communication skills and command of the English language
  • Conscientious, meticulous and have good time management skills
  • Be a team player with ability to work with colleagues from different functions and business units, and in a culturally diverse environment
