Job Description
The intern will work for Marriott’s Human Resources Operations team based in the Singapore office to support in delivering HR related services to the management and associates of both support office as well as all operational properties within the Asia Pacific Excluding China (APEC) region.
The HR Operations, APEC oversees the overall functions of Human Resources at property level including HR programs, systems and practices in Marriott, Asia Pacific. The intern will work closely with HR Operations, APEC team. The nature of work will entail supporting the team in both HR project management and initiatives/activities to drive operational HR excellence in property across the region. As part of the team, the intern will also be fully involved in daily HR operational tasks.
Key responsibilities include:
- Support HR Operations team on various projects and assignments as assigned
- Support the Director of HR in new build and transitions (NBT/pre opening) activities to ensure Marriott’s programs, practices, systems and policies are in placed & executed in the property.
- Coordinating and facilitating activities between Director of HR, HR Manager including meetings, schedules etc.
- Support HR Operations team to roll out HR initiatives, policies and guidelines within APEC region
- Coordinate with area based HR associates on related HR initiatives & activities that need to be executed.
- Support internal HR communication by drafting announcements and creating presentations
- Support the team in TM, EB, Recruitment projects and Culture Build initiatives in APEC
- Having fully oversight of Marriott’s online HR system and database
- Analyze data and metrics and support team in proposing recommendations for improvements
Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Qualification standard
Education
Undergraduate in Human Resources, Social Sciences, Business Management, Economics or Marketing preferred
Requirements
Singaporean, Singapore Permanent Resident Holder or valid student pass
Prepared to commit to a six months’ internship
Eligible for undergraduate in a Singapore registered university program
