MARKT is a modern, casual Western restaurant located at 200 Turf Club Road, #01-08, inside The Grandstand. With the playground conveniently located next to MARKT’s outdoor seating area, there’s plenty to keep the little ones occupied.
MARKT takes pride in its authentic recipes and methods, using the most premium ingredients and making everything possible from scratch. Headed by Chef-owner Alicia Lin, the culinary team comprises of Head Chef Brandon Lee and Pastry Chef Leigh Ann van Cuylenburg.
Targeted at students from local institutions, this internship offered allows a trainee to experience first-hand how the kitchen and front of house team operates. This internship will help you gain an insight to the F&B industry and make an informed decision in the near future.
When considering potential interns, we place utmost emphasis on students who demonstrate a positive and passionate attitude for the F&B industry. The tasks expected of each intern include:
- Assist the team in the preparation and cooking of meals
- Undergo training to learn procedures and duties in food preparation
- Work under the supervision of the team
- Operate commercial cooking equipment such as mixers, steamers, fryers, ovens and stoves
- Serve food when required
- Kitchen cleaning, such as dish washing and equipment cleaning
- Assist in other areas of food preparation and storage
- Ability to undergo and handle the pressures of a high-intensity workplace
Food Safety Certificate preferred
