Job Description

Overview We are looking for a Food Science Intern to assist the team with food research & development (R&D) and creative menu development. You will participate in recipe design, experiment documentation, nutrition and sensory analysis, and collaborate with the marketing team to conceptualize health-focused menus and events. This role provides an opportunity to experience both the technical and creative sides of food innovation, gaining hands-on practice in the integration of science and branding.


Key Responsibilities

Food R&D and Quality Management • Assist in the design and testing of new products or existing menu items • Conduct shelf-life, sensory, and stability tests on products • Help develop and update quality assurance (QA) and SOP documents • Participate in pilot production, documentation, and data organization

Menu and Market Collaboration • Collaborate with chefs and marketing teams to develop new menus aligned with brand strategy and seasonal themes • Support writing menu stories, highlighting nutritional benefits and health advantages of ingredients (for packaging or online presentation) • Participate in creative activities such as “functional ingredient features” and “behind-the-scenes R&D stories” • Assist in tasting events and customer feedback collection

Research and Innovation • Research new ingredients, trends, and scalable application technologies • Evaluate recipe nutrition data and sensory performance • Help maintain product R&D databases and experiment records

Requirements • Degree/Diploma in Food Science, Food Technology, Nutrition, or related fields • Passion for health foods, plant-based innovation, and food therapy concepts • Basic knowledge of recipe formulation, nutrition, and sensory analysis • Creative thinking and aesthetic expression abilities • Familiarity with Microsoft Excel or basic experiment documentation • Good communication and teamwork skills
