Job Description

Your role will include but not limited to:


Supplier Management

- Maintain and build excellent relationships with (current and potential) vendors to ensure all samples and catalogues remain current; input new resources into resource database.

- Identify new vendors and resources, and create new relationships to assist with the current demand and to share the information with design team about new products and arrange for representatives to visit when appropriate.

- Organizing presentation with various vendors for the Design & FF&E teams for the latest updated information.

- Research and collect material samples which may potentially be used by the design team for project presentation and documentation.

- Maintain an updated records of vendors/ suppliers contact list

- Attend new products launch by vendors/suppliers

Resource Center

- Maintain and up-keep the tidiness in the resources center.

- Establishes library policies and procedures to track books, magazines, materials and luggage on loan.

- Maintain and update material data base ie, library product samples, e-catalogue, image library materials & luggage are up to date and readily available for use.

- Performing audit on the existing articles to ensure it’s relevant, including disposal of unused materials.

- Identify new methods and materials to help to reduce cost and improve quality, productivity and cycle time by reducing wastage & rework resulting in significant business improvement and client’s satisfaction.

- Keep track records of purchase resource tools and materials required for mood board and material samples within the budget

- Make recommendation to the design team on new books/magazines in the markets

- Up keep the resources center ensuring safety and cleanliness

Design support

- Support the design team by assisting with preparations for formal design presentations: order samples, fabricate material and presentation boards.

- Assist the design team in data entry of specification.

- Ensure the presentation boards are done in a timely manner.

Requirements:

- Degree level with at least 5 years of Vendor/Supplier management experience in the hospitality industries

- Good grasp of FFE

- Passionate and aware of global design trends

- Well organized, diligent, meticulous and possess good time management

- Responsible and able to work independently

- Results and service-oriented individual who possess initiative and the ability to communicate effectively

- Competent in design software
