We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented intern to support our funds research work and robo-advisory rebalancing. The successful candidate will assist in reviewing our fund peer universe, running and maintaining model portfolios, and supporting the due diligence process through minute-taking and report writing. This role offers hands-on experience in investment analytics, portfolio construction, and manager research within a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Fund Universe Review
- Conduct ongoing reviews of fund peers across asset classes.
- Screen, compare, and analyze funds using performance, risk, and qualitative metrics.
- Prepare summaries and recommendations for the investment team.
Model Portfolio Management
- Run and update model portfolios for the robo-advisory platform.
- Assist in implementing portfolio changes and monitoring performance.
- Support testing and validation of allocation models and assumptions
Due Diligence Support
- Attend manager and product due diligence meetings.
- Take clear, structured notes and prepare minutes.
- Draft due diligence reports and assist with documentation and follow-up actions.
Required Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Data Science, or a related field.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with data tools (e.g., Bloomberg, Morningstar, FactSet) is a plus.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)
- Basic understanding of investment products, mutual funds, ETFs, and portfolio construction.
- Interest in quantitative investing, fintech, or robo-advisory platforms.
- Experience with data analysis or programming (Python, R, or SQL) is advantageous.
