Lion Brewery Co is a British heritage craft brewery reborn in London and Singapore.
Our mission is simple: to produce exceptional beer that is specifically designed for the warmer climates of South East Asia, using ingredients and processes that are better for both you and the environment.
We are a rapidly growing beer company, based in the CBD here in Singapore. Lion Brewery Co started operations 11 months ago and our beer is now in over 100 venues (bars, restaurants, hotels) in Singapore. Our aim is to bridge the gap between heavily-hopped, overpriced craft beer and bland, commercial lagers, offering alternatives that are both more flavourful and refreshing.
We are a start-up with a small, dynamic and close-knit team of professionals, and are looking for a self-starter with a lot of drive and passion and who is interested in the craft beer industry!
Lion Brewery Co brings with it a wealth of experience and a simple mission of bringing exceptional beer to Southeast Asia. Independently owned and distributed, in 2018 Lion Brewery Co launched its flagship beer, “Straits Pale Ale”, a crisp, refreshing beer that is ideal for tropical climates. Following the success of this beer, Lion Brewery Co has launched its second variant, Island Lager, in June 2019.
Job title: Business Development Intern
Key tasks:
- Contact venues and secure meetings and tasting sessions with key industry decision makers
- Pitch and sell the beer to potential venue partners, with the guidance of management
- Provide beer samples and collaterals to potential partners
- Coordinate deliveries and purchase orders working together with our adminstrator, and maintain relationships with our logistics and warehouse partners
Skills:
- Strong communicator: able to engage, connect and persuade with different types of people, and across the spectrum of low-to-high level individuals within companies
- Understanding of operations and admin: Microsoft Suite proficiency
- 2+ years work experience, ideally within the beer/F&B industry
- Excellent task management & organisation
- Fluent in English and one of the following: Japanese/Korean
- Ability to pick things up quickly and effectively put them into practice
