Job Description

Position Summary: The Senior/Sales Manager is a key member of the hotel's sales and marketing team, responsible for generating business from corporate accounts and travel agents to achieve overall sales targets and objectives outlined in the Sales & Marketing Plan.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Development:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to drive revenue growth.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with corporate clients, travel agencies, and other potential clients.

Sales Targets:

  • Set and achieve sales targets as outlined in the Sales & Marketing Plan.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities and challenges.

Client Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients.
  • Act as the main point of contact for client inquiries and concerns.

Proposal and Contract Negotiation:

  • Prepare and present proposals to clients, showcasing the hotel's offerings.
  • Negotiate contracts and terms with clients to secure business agreements.

Market Research:

  • Conduct market research to understand customer needs, preferences, and industry trends.
  • Provide regular feedback to the management team on market conditions and competitor activities.

Sales Presentations:

  • Deliver effective sales presentations to potential clients, highlighting the hotel's unique selling points.
  • Participate in trade shows, conferences, and industry events to promote the hotel.

Collaboration with Internal Departments:

  • Coordinate with various internal departments, such as operations and reservations, to ensure seamless guest experiences.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create promotional materials and campaigns.

Sales Reporting:

  • Prepare and submit regular sales reports to the management team.
  • Analyze sales performance and propose strategies for improvement.

Budget Management:

  • Manage the sales budget effectively, ensuring that expenses are within approved limits.
  • Provide input into the budgeting process based on market insights.

Team Leadership and Training:

  • Lead and mentor junior members of the sales team.
  • Conduct training sessions to enhance the skills and knowledge of the sales team.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Diploma in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2-4 years experience and above
  • Proven experience in hotel sales, with a focus on corporate accounts.
  • Strong understanding of the hospitality industry and market trends.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Results-oriented with a track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software.
