As an Interior Design Lighting Intern at Krislite, you will support our design team in developing lighting concepts and preparing design materials for assigned projects. This internship offers hands-on exposure to lighting design workflows, including layouts, presentations, product research, basic technical considerations, and project coordination. You will work closely with senior designers and internal teams and may also have opportunities to join site visits and client meetings under supervision.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Diploma or Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Lighting Design, or a related discipline.
  • Interest in architectural/interior lighting and willingness to learn lighting products and applications.
  • Basic proficiency in design and documentation tools (e.g., AutoCAD/SketchUp) is an advantage.
  • Organized and detail-oriented, with good file management habits for drawings, revisions, and documents.
  • Able to communicate clearly and work collaboratively with designers and internal teams.
  •  Able to work independently, manage deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Energetic, curious, and eager to learn with a keen eye for detail.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing basic lighting design concepts and proposals for assigned projects.
  • Support preparation of lighting layouts, drawings, mood boards, and design presentation materials.
  • Assist in updating/revising designs and drawings based on feedback from senior designers, clients, or internal teams.
  • Coordinate and track design-related information with sales, project, and operations teams (as assigned).
  • Support preparation of design documents for client presentations and internal reviews; track changes/updates throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Research lighting products, fixtures, and solutions suitable for project requirements; assist with basic product comparison, specifications, and sample preparation.
  • Gain exposure to basic technical considerations related to lighting design, installation needs, and safety standards.
  • Attend site visits and/or client meetings under supervision when required; assist with documenting site conditions, measurements, and design notes.
  • Maintain organized records of drawings, design files, revisions, correspondence, and project documentation in line with company procedures.
  • Learn and apply lighting design workflows, best practices, and design standards; develop skills in design software, product knowledge, and professional communication.
  • Maintain confidentiality over client information, design materials, pricing, and company documents; uphold professional conduct and ethical work standards.
