ABOUT FOUNDER/DESIGNER
Jaren Ho, a self-taught fashion designer founded Singapore’s first cruise wear label YACHT 21.
It was after a boat voyage in 2009 that inspired Jaren to embark on a free-spirited journey of creating both contemporary yet functional collections. Her designs are kept clean and functional, yet varied in the wearer's individual aesthetic. Understanding the region's tropical climate, Jaren placed strong focus on creating summer-friendly collections throughout the year. She integrated lightweight and breathable materials such as denim, cotton and poplin to fulfil the daily need of the metropolitan ladies.
Jaren went out-of-the-box by reinventing her classic collection to give the collection a feeling of timelessness. She also incorporated tropical prints and summer colours to bring the collection’s aesthetics to a whole new level. From, casual weekend wear to a stylish ensemble for work, YACHT 21 won the hearts of many and caught the attention of several prestigious departmental stores in Singapore, including Robinsons and Tangs where the label is currently represented.
Today, Jaren continues to push the boundaries with her creativity by playing the role as creative director and owner of YACHT 21.
Responsibilities:
- Manage merchandise and retail stores to ensure high standard of sales operations in various stockists/departmental stores
- Manage stock deliveries and returns between various stockists/departmental stores & HQ
- Ensure proper level of stock inventory and maintenance of rack display to maximize sales
- Assist in planning of retail crew schedule, ensure sufficient manpower for all points
- Updating of YACHT 21 members listing
- Working closely with distribution partners on launching of new arrivals, sales promotion, issuing of tax invoices and generating of new SKUs for requisition of tags
- Update and review monthly sales performance
- Gather feedback from customers and retail team on sales performance and propose action plan for internal review
- Handling administrative duties such as preparing delivery orders and generating sales reports
Requirements:
- Retail experience preferred
- Has a strong passion for fashion, independent and loves teamwork
- Be open to any ad-hoc duties
- Diploma in Fashion merchandising / Retail Management or any related field
- Able to work retail hours on weekends & public holidays
- Fluent in English
