Job Description
				We are looking for an experienced School Counselor (K-12) to join our dynamic educational team. The ideal candidate will provide individual and group counseling to students at both the Primary and High School levels, supporting their academic, social, and emotional well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
Counseling:
- Provide personal counseling to students individually or in groups.
 - Offer academic or social counseling, especially when academic staff interventions have been unsuccessful.
 - Facilitate developmental, remedial, and preventive programs to support student growth.
 
Consulting:
- Meet with parents to discuss student concerns, such as academic struggles, health, or personal issues.
 - Participate in meetings with teachers regarding student placement and well-being.
 - Refer students or families to appropriate community agencies when needed.
 
Coordination:
- Communicate counseling and support services through online or face-to-face media.
 - Implement policies set by the administration and raise concerns to relevant administrators.
 - Contribute to the Pastoral Care program and collaborate with other staff members, including Homeroom teachers, Nurses, and the Guardianship Coordinator.
 - Serve as a member of the Child Protection Committee.
 
Student Evaluation:
- Ensure appropriate student placement during admissions and throughout the school year.
 - Monitor students' progress socially, emotionally, and academically.
 - Advise on additional academic support needed and monitor students dealing with issues such as sleep problems, stress, smoking, alcohol, or behavioral concerns.
 
Professional Development:
- Attend professional conferences and meetings to enhance knowledge and skills.
 - Maintain membership in relevant professional organizations.
 - Stay updated with the latest in counseling and education through professional publications.
 
Additional Duties:
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the Academic Directors.
 
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Degree in Counseling or a relevant professional qualification (e.g., teaching license in educational administration).
 - Ideally, 2+ years of experience as a counselor, preferably in an international school setting.
 - Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with students, parents, and staff from diverse cultural backgrounds.
 - Ability to handle sensitive situations with care and professionalism.
 - A team player, comfortable working across multiple departments.
