Job Description

Social Media Intern - B2B (6 Months)

What are we looking for?

At Iris, digital is woven into everything we do. Our approach to production is to ensure that we are connecting the dots with all platforms to ensure truly integrated work.

 We're looking for a Social Media Intern who is an analytical individual, someone who is fascinated by all things digital media and wants to broaden their expertise and develop a fledgling strategy career.

 Our ideal candidate needs to understand Digital through three key lenses: planning, execution and optimisation.

 You could be working on:

  • Developing impactful engaging content that delivers against a client’s business and marketing objectives
  • Creating personal relationships by starting conversations with the core customer
  • Ensuring success for all things social
  • Driving social performance and team efficiency
  • Strategising how to improve campaign performance
  • Developing benchmarking rationales
  • Improving analytics proposition

 Your responsibilities as a Social Media Intern will be to:

  • Support other strategist
  • Conduct daily community engagement and monitoring
  • Set up B2B campaigns and manage them daily, looking at the best ways to improve our paid social operations
  • Analyse and optimise the performance of our content on social channels
  • Schedule, publish and boost content, and other such tasks
  • Understand and strategise the targeting and budget possibilities available on the different platforms and media buying principles to reach B2B audiences
  • Spot interesting category trends, getting under the skin of the audience, and how to collect insights over time to optimise relevance of messaging
  • Help other Iris teams understand which of our competitors are doing great work in the B2B and Social space, as well what techniques, tactics and formats are most effective in achieving key client objectives

Who are you?

  • Undergraduates (preferably penultimate year) or fresh graduates with relevant internship experience
  • Undergraduates (preferably penultimate year) or fresh graduates without relevant who are keen to enter the marketing and digital space are welcomed to apply
  • Passion for strategic thinking through social platforms
  • Keen eye for detail and the ability to be meticulous in delivering accurate work
  • Strong skills in data analytics: Excel and Adobe Analytics
  • Excellent communication skills and competency in managing multiple internal/external stakeholders spanning various disciplines and seniority levels
