As a Development Planning & Performance Intern, your job role is to provide research and analytical support in various development activities by working closely with the divisional and regional offices to assist the Development team achieve its growth objectives.

Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist with compilation and preparation of competitive intelligence and data analysis including signings and openings across the Europe, Middle East, Asia & Africa region
  • Assist with preparation, consolidation, and development of RFP responses on key strategic deals  
  • Assist with ad hoc reporting, special projects, case studies and presentations requests
  • Assist in updating and maintaining the Development Marketing online repository site and regional Development website
  • Assist with the management of Development data on SalesForce
  • Opportunities to be involved with IHG Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives, as appropriate

EDUCATION

  • Undergraduate in Business Management, Finance or Hospitality, preferably in their final year of undergrad studies

EXPERIENCE

  • Prior internship experience within another Hotel Management Company, Consulting and/or Real Estate advisory firms

TECHNICAL SKILLS

  • Interest in the hospitality industry
  • Conscientious with an eye for details
  • Proactive and works with a sense of purpose and urgency
  • Desire to learn and be challenged to learn new skills
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Power Point and Word applications
  • Ability to work on projects independently
  • Confidence generating new ideas or ways to approach work assigned
  • Good project management skills, organized and communicates progress
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and an ability to flex style
