We are looking for Commis Cook to join our team. To excel in this position, you must possess a keen interest in culinary arts and creative cooking with a strong ability to listen and follow instructions given by the Sous Chef. Additional valuable skills include excellent communication skills and familiarity with general kitchen equipment and appliances. The need to be able to stand and move around for long periods of time is required.
Duties & Responsibilities:
You’ll become a key member in ensuring our customers have a great experience dining with us, and that our passion for this comes through!
- Ensure that the exceptional quality and consistency of our dishes is maintained 100% of the time
- Assist with Mise en Place and kitchen preparation
- Assist to ensure that equipment and appliances are sanitized and ready for use
- Ensure that ingredient and handled and stored with strict adherence to Food Safety and Hygiene standards
- Work closely with the front of the house service team to hear and action customer feedback
- Support the execution of in-resto special events
Requirements:
- Has some professional experience working as a prep cook in a fast-paced environment.
- Training will be provided.
- Able to work well independently.
- Able to follow instructions accurately and efficiently.
- Familiar with general kitchen equipment and appliances
- Good understanding of ingredients, recipes, kitchen safety, and hygiene
Salary: Competitive salary based on experience (Basic salary + Allowance + OT = Up to gross $2,600/- per month)
Working days: Average per week is 5.5 days.
