Traineeship Description:
The Quality Assurance Analyst is responsible for contributing to product and software development activities and projects that are aligned with the goals and vision of the company. The Quality Assurance Analyst will report directly to the Product Lead / QA Manager and be responsible for ensuring high quality software products. This multidisciplinary role will work with QA, Product, Software, UX and R&D teams.
Specific Responsibilities:
Trainee to be involved in:
1. Create, execute, and maintain manual and automated test cases/scripts as part of an Agile project team
2. Works closely and takes direction from QA Lead (Singapore)
3. Executes Software Functional, Usability, and Regression testing.
4. Liaise with internal teams (Designers, front and backend developers, project manager) to identify system requirements.
5. Reports software defects in Jira and shepherds them through the defect life cycle to closure.
6. Familiar with Agile test environment procedures and processes.
7. Familiar with Jira or dev-test-deploy workflow tools
8. Can work well under pressure and be an “out of the box” thinker.
9. Strong time management and prioritization skills.
10. Willing to ask questions and be eager to learn new products and services as they arise.
Technical Skills & Competencies Trainee will learn:
1. Develop software product development and QA skills
2. Agile test environment procedures and processes
3. Stakeholder management and aligning of directions and decisions via effective communication
4. Define QA requirements based on internal and external factors to meet company vision and product strategy
Education Qualifications Required for the Traineeship Role
- Degree in Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent knowledge
- Can commit for 9 months

Eligibility Criteria for SGUnitedTraineeships:
•Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident; and
- a. Graduated or graduating in calendar year 2019 or 2020 from ITEs, polytechnics, universities, or other educational institutions (e.g. private universities and overseas institutions); or
- b. Graduated earlier from above institutions and completed National Service in 2019 or 2020.
