Design intuitive and visually engaging UI systems and layouts that enhance gameplay experience and align with game goals.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to translate game mechanics and wireframes into elegant, user-friendly interfaces.
Create high-quality UI graphics including menus, HUDs, pop-ups, icons, buttons, and other in-game assets.
Slice and optimize UI assets for seamless integration into Unity, ensuring smooth performance across devices.
Illustrate and design game logos, in-game icons, UI animations, and other visual materials.
Contribute ideas for UI transitions, feedback animations, and interactive effects to improve user engagement.
Requirements:
3+ years of hands-on experience in UI design for games, with at least one full-cycle game project.
Strong understanding of casual mobile game styles, particularly Western aesthetics and player expectations.
Exceptional visual design and hand-drawing skills, with the ability to create original icons and graphical elements.
Proficient in Photoshop, Illustrator, and other 2D design tools.
Familiarity with Unity’s UI workflow and the ability to collaborate effectively with engineers during asset integration.
Advantageous to Have:
Interest in mobile gaming and casual game markets
Experience using AI-assisted design tools (e.g., Midjourney, Photoshop AI)
Motion graphics skills (e.g., After Effects, Spine)
Understanding of user testing or data-informed design processes
