Duties include, but are not limited to the following:

• Perform pilot/ daily upscale production, and tests which involve operation and washing of machine, and measure of raw material.
• Develops and/ or performs all formulation requirements on new formulas; including the creation of skincare, cosmetics formulation, mix development, product description/ formulation sheet, lab tests, stability testing/ monitoring, color verification, etc.
• Document test results, specifications, and final formula procedures in a standard format for the technology transfer from pilot scale to commercial manufacturing runs.
• Communicates in a timely fashion, all information regarding formulation, project status, raw material research, results, etc.
• Conduct an intellectual search for technical information through a variety of resources.
• Evaluate new and alternative raw materials for functionality and stability.
• Participates in process improvement and product investigations.
• Reformulate to improve existing products as needed.
• Writes and/ or reviews procedures, purchase orders, quotes, and specifications needed to support product development activities.
• Constructs experimental studies intended to provide supporting data or to resolve technical issues encountered during a project.
• Resolving technical issues and driving the completion of investigations that affect the technical scope, making recommendations for various options that would resolve the issue, including a preferred option.
• Develop and execute manufacturing instructions, scale up batched, and transfer processes into manufacturing.
• Propose and implement recommendations to processes and procedures to increase efficiency, safety, and/ or quality.
• Ensure the maintenance and/ or adherence to good laboratory practices and all safety regulations both in laboratory and manufacturing areas.
• Work accordingly to appropriate SOPs, GMPs, and safety guidelines in the R&D center.
• Handle reports and documentation aspects of the research lab and maintenance of records.
