Intern, Intellectual Property

ABOUT THE ROLE

 

Hummingbird Bioscience is seeking an Intern to provide support to our Intellectual property team. This is a rare opportunity to learn nuances of IP filings and prosecution while working with in-house IP team. The intern will get to work on and learn the process of filing Patents and Trademark applications. Depending on the learning urge the suitable candidate can also learn patent searches and interpretation of a patent document. The intern will gain understanding on the techno-legal aspects of patenting drugs and the significance of the same from business perspective.


RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Support IP team in completion of required formal documents
  • Housekeeping of activities such as updating IP Tables and keeping record of communications from external counsels
  • Assist in shortlisting the documents for patent searches and summarizing search results
  • Assist in preparation of reports, summaries and presentations
  • Other-ad hoc duties as assigned


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS


  • Currently pursuing or graduated with Bachelors degree in biotechnology or related fields, Masters degree holders desirable.
  • Systematic, meticulous, fast learner
  • An interest and inclination towards learning this specialized function, prior understanding not necessary but good to have
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
