Intern, Downstream Process Development
About the Role:
Hummingbird Bioscience is seeking an Intern to provide support to our Downstream Process Development team for our robust pipeline and growing projects.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in performing protein purification at bench scales using AKTA systems.
- Assist in creating methods, perform affinity purification, ion exchange purifications
- Support pilot scale processing using AKTA pilot, depth filtration, viral filtration and ultrafiltration/diafiltration using AKTA Flux 6
- Support protein characterization such as ELISA, silver stain, qPCR, protein kinetics study
- Support in protocol /technical documentation writing
- Able to record data accurately and legibly
- Training will be provided
Requirements:
- Currently enrolled in a biology, biochemistry or related course
- Knowledge of protein chemistry, biophysics and biochemistry, protein expression
- Good communications and inter-personal skills
