The Accounts Intern will support the Finance and Accounts team in daily accounting operations, financial record-keeping, and administrative tasks. This internship provides hands-on experience with accounting processes and an opportunity to gain practical skills relevant to a career in accounting or finance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing and maintaining accurate accounting documents and records.

  • Perform data entry of invoices, receipts, and payment vouchers into the accounting system.

  • Support month-end and year-end closing activities.

  • Help in bank reconciliations and account reconciliations.

  • Organize and maintain proper filing of financial documents.

  • Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

  • Prepare simple financial reports or summaries as directed.

  • Support the team in audit preparation and documentation.

  • Handle other general administrative and accounting-related tasks as assigned.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Diploma or Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or related field from a recognized Institution of Higher Learning (IHL).

  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications.

  • Good attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Strong sense of responsibility and willingness to learn.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Good communication and organizational skills.
