Hipster Private Limited – Marketing Manager Intern

Hipster consults with companies of diverse industries to create websites, mobile applications, and other software solutions. From initial design to hardware integrations, we deliver end-to-end information technology solutions so that our customers can focus on growing their business while we take care of the IT aspect as our customers’ partner.

We are looking for a new Marketing Intern. You will be working in a company with a flat hierarchy and in a culture that advocates straight-talk. You will have a fair extent of autonomy in planning your weekly work activities. 

JOB DESCRIPTIONS

• It’s a full-time internship that needs 40 hours in the office per week and at least 5-6 months of commitment. 
• Support sales team to general leads through research and cold emails (cold calling where necessary)
• Assist in marketing and advertising promotional activities (e.g. social media, direct mail, and web) as well as monitoring social media campaigns and social postings
• Rebranding of the entire website and writing content that displays the company’s vision and purpose
• Creating content for the company’s blog and social media pages
• Proposing photo angles for social media in accordance with the company’s style guide
• Attending video shoots to take behind-the-scenes photos and/or videos
• Editing of photos and/or videos for posting on social media
• Designing of Marketing collateral
• Developing and researching marketing articles
• Other marketing opportunities and partnership lookouts
• Assisting in writing content for blog posts
• Any other ad hoc administrative duties as assigned
• Creating and editing content for current customers.

REQUIREMENTS

• Good understanding of different marketing techniques that could be implemented for a boutique software design company like Hipster Pte Ltd.
• Send out introductory cold emails to prospective clients to enquire about the IT support we can offer.
• Excellent in Storytelling in business.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent knowledge of Google docs and Google spreadsheets.
• Familiarity with Selling computer software and online applications (e.g. CRM tools, Online analytics, and Google Adwords)
• Basic Knowledge of SEO (Search Engine Optimization) and SEM (Search Engine Marketing) is preferred. 
• Current enrollment in a related diploma or bachelor degree in a recognized university, preferably in Information Systems / Computer Science related majors
• Comfortable selling to, influencing, and building trust-based, value-added relationships with senior executives.
• Able to solve problems and manage ambiguity by use of common sense and basic business acumen.
• Ability to work in an independent, fast-paced, startup environment, and be comfortable with ambiguity.
