The Public Relations (PR) team is the voice of Hcook. We are the front line when facing the media and external parties, and our key purpose is to speak up for Hcook in all circumstances with the aim to to steer conversations and share inspiring user stories.
We’re looking for a creative and resourceful PR intern to join the Hcook team. This person will be supporting our Public Relations team in finding inspiring user stories to share with the world and crafting messages to be amplified in the media. He/She will also get to learn the ropes of what it means to be a PR practitioner, and what it takes to be a good one.
A Hcook internship is unlike any other. Our interns are quick on their feet, resourceful, adaptable and learn a heck of a lot in a short amount of time. If you're looking to make an impact and get your hands dirty with a myriad of opportunities, this is the adventure for you.
What you'll get to do during your internship
•Researching of media lists
•Making media calls as part of proactive media outreach efforts
•Support on handling media enquiries
•Writing and packaging compelling stories for media pitches
•Drafting of media alerts and media releases
•Liaison with external vendors, when required
Requirements
•A Hcook user and/or familiar with using the Hcook app and its features
•Passionate about the world of online buying and selling.
•A love for technology and curious about the latest innovations in mobile applications.
•Quick learner who can adapt to a fast-paced and often unpredictable working environment.
•Experience or interest in marketing, public relations, and startups.
•Creative and comfortable with calling journalists to pitch unconventional ideas to amplify Hcook stories to media.
•Fluent in English (written and spoken)
•Fluency in a second language would be bonus!
