Environment

Situated at Little India district shophouse studio on second level, it is an open cosy office space.
You will meet various types of people who participate in the workshops or partner with the organisation.
The roles are often tailored upon interview with the apprentice. Below is an overview of possibilities. We hope the apprentice can be independent and able to stretch his/her strengths while in the organisation as well. Apprentice can also take selected acting workshops here for free. We practise 5-day work week and apprentice may be required to be available during weekends. If so, off-in-lieu will be given to apprentice.

Job Description


Roles & Responsibilities


Assist the manager in the following areas (not limited nor restricted to):


  • Copyright for speeches, presentations, performances or training materials with visual/graphic communication applications

  • Website content management (WordPress platform)

  • Publicity and marketing for school programmes and workshops

  • Social media platforms management

  • Online journalism, if apprentice is interest in writing for our website

  • Front-of-house, events & outreach management

  • Assistant to instructors

  • Customer research


Exposure Areas


Areas of exposure / training:


  • Exposure to media and/or arts law

  • Training and practice in WordPress website application

  • News/Feature writing for traditional and new media


Apprentice will also be involved in the possible areas (organised by or partnered with the organisation) depending on the period the apprentice is attached to the organisation:


  • Events management - students could possibly work on medium-scale film-related or theatre-related events

  • Acting workshops, readings, networking events, film screening events

  • Attachment to film productions 


Pre-requisites (specific specialisation, if any, language skills, computer skills, etc.):

Has interest in performing arts

Able to speak English and Mandarin preferred

All students in any specialisations could apply.

Apprentice should possess and is comfortable to bring own laptop (Mac preferably) if necessary

Apprenticeship should agree to an interview before the internship is formalised. 

Apprentice who enjoys writing or copywriting are preferred but not compulsory.
