Our vaccines facility at Tuas is a key manufacturing site withinour global network supplying the active ingredients used to make multiplepediatric vaccines. Tuas site was officially opened in 2009. To date, the site has played a key role in producing more than 800 million vaccines for pneumococcal diseases. Tuas has a workforce of more than 415 employees.


We are expanding operations at our Tuas site adding new exciting products to our production capabilities and becoming an even more significant part of GSK’s worldwide vaccines supply chain. Job Description

What will you do?

  • Support projects for new product introduction in GSK SG
  • Work under the supervision of the QC Lead (Project) and collaborate with QC and other functions such as manufacturing, regulatory, manufacturing, science and technology (MSAT) in the company to provide appropriate and timely inputs.
  • Manages QC project related activities and to provide support and technical expertise to ensure that manufactured products meet applicable regulatory standards and guidelines with respect to Quality Control operations.
  • Supports QC project and related topics in QC
  • Author of SOPs/ protocols/ reports
  • Manage ad-hoc tasks (eg. Data extraction and analysis, shipment)
  • Interacts with different teams across the GSK Vaccines (Eg. manufacturing, MSAT, SAP, QC etc)
  • Develop strong planning and organizing skills
  • Develop interpersonal skills and learn to work in a team
  • Understand the way of working in a GMP environment
  • Learn equipment & systems used in QC Laboratory
  • Develop troubleshooting skills for these equipment & systems


What are we looking for? 

  • Educational background – Undergraduate studying Bachelor in Science related field who is interested in learning more about a manufacturing environment and vaccines
  • Proficient in use of IT and software/systems
  • Knowledge of cGLP & cGMP
  • Common laboratory techniques (advantage)
  • Attributes required of the job e.g. the ability to work independently; the ability to work in a team; shows initiative; able to work with all levels of staff.
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative, think and work independently, and problem-solve
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Deadline-driven, flexible with self-reliance to work in an empowered environment
  • Awareness and ability to work within culturally diverse teams
  • Strong drive for performance and attention to details
  • A keen interest in consumer healthcare science, product and development, and a passion for knowledge
