FairPrice Group Supply Chain Business Unit (FPG SC BU) is a key logistics service provider to NTUC FairPrice Group and external customers. Our services provided include inbound logistics, warehouse and fulfilment and last mile delivery to the stores, customers and B2C home delivery. We have multiple warehouses located mainly in the western part of Singapore and every solution deployed at our different warehouses is tailored to the needs and requirements of our customers and the nature and profile of their products (e.g. dry, chilled, frozen etc).
Job Description
- Participate and support in projects related to warehouse layout/process improvement, time studies, warehouse migration etc.
- Gain insights and opportunity to learn about the Distribution Centre operational activities
- Support in planning and data collection in preparation of the migration of the distribution centre
- Work closely with the Operations team to support on day-to-day warehouse Operations activities (e.g Quality Checking, Despatch, Transport and warehouse Management Systems, Inventory Management, ISO, etc)
- Provide ad hoc support during festive season peak periods
Job Requirements
To be successful in this internship, you would be:- Pursing academic discipline in Supply Chain/Logistics or related discipline.- Have good planning skills and multi-tasking abilities- Creative with good analytical thinking- Customer oriented mindset and able to communicate effectively- Result oriented, proactive and able to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment- Self-driven, open minded and enjoys learning- Able to work independently and in team- Proficient in Google Suite and Microsoft Suite (e.g. Excel, PowerPoint etc.)- Able to adapt to a multi-temperature warehouse environment
