Grocery Logistics Singapore (GLS) a wholly owned subsidiary of FairPrice Group Supply Chain, is a well-established logistics player in the Fast Moving Consumers Goods (FMCG) segment, incorporated since January 1993. Other than being the key logistics provider for NTUC FairPrice and its subsidiaries, we had serviced the Dairy Farm Group, Royal Ahold Group (since exited from Singapore Markets) and many small supermarket chains since our establishment.

Job Description

 

  • Procurement & sourcing of equipment, spares components, suppliers and services to ensure the contracts and agreements are in accordance to internal and HQ requirements.
  • Source and secure good pricing for PE inspection and renewal of the certificates of building and MHE equipment, repair and maintenance.
  • Ensure fairness, transparency and cost effectiveness in the entire procurement process
  • Execute end to end procurement operations according to the procurement procedure and policy including electronic Purchase Request and Letter of Award issuance
  • Manage Quotations and Tenders which include publication of Invitation to Quotation and invitation to Tender and reviewing of award recommendations with tender committee when applicable.
  • Provide guidance and advice to internal users on Procurement Policy and Procedure
  • Procurement for facilities, buildings and environmental related procurement needs.
  • Ensure Soft Services requirements like pest control, cleaning and securities services
  • Administering the commercial part of all contracts and agreement.
  • Ensuring that the procurement practices meet authority and corporate requirements.
  • Managing budgets and ensuring cost-effectiveness
  • Maintains proper records of documents and correspondence. (Both internal and external)
  • Keep abreast of industrial commodities price trending and market sentiments.
  • Conduct regular meetings with vendors to bridge any possible gaps between vendors and end users.
  • Lead role in conducting supplier’s evaluation process.
  • Possess sufficient WSH knowledge to evaluate vendor’s suitability during the tender selection process.
  • To administer and monitor all agreement expiry to ensure sufficient duration to conduct RFQ or tender exercise.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in indirect procurement field especially for FM or engineering
  • Diploma Holder in any related discipline
  • Good vendor and suppliers networking
  • Plus point if has overseas outsourcing experiences
  • Exposure in ISO environment and electronic Purchasing System
  • Knowledge on MHE machines, chargers and Batteries would be an advantage.
  • Management in cost-effectiveness
  • Experiences in conducting tender exercise
