“It all started with one fish”, as founder David Lee says. Particularly a barramundi in his Honda Civic about 20 or so years ago.
Starting as a seafood wholesaler, Mr Lee drove from client to client in search of buyers. After many barramundis and even more car fresheners, Greenwood Fish Market began in 2003.
Now a family-run seafood restaurant and fish market, we specialise in cold water seafood with a range that’s a tad different from the local scene, mostly with a supply chain built on from friends-turned-suppliers.
If you're passionate about good seafood, good drinks and good jokes, we hope to see you reel soon. We’re a crazy bunch of fishermen – nothing excites us more than sharing our love for the sea.

Job Description
We seek a friendly and professional Hostess to join the team at Greenwood Fish Market, a seafood restaurant located in the vibrant Quayside Isle in Sentosa. As a Hostess, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming and warm environment for our guests, ensuring they have an unforgettable dining experience at our Quayside Isle location in Sentosa.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greeting guests as they arrive at the restaurant and seating them at their table
- Managing the restaurant's reservation system and taking phone calls to book tables
- Ensuring that the dining room is clean and well-presented at all times, with all tables set and ready for guests
- Managing the flow of guests in and out of the restaurant, ensuring that waitstaff can provide efficient service
- Assisting with the management of the restaurant's waitlist, communicating wait times to guests
- Assisting with general restaurant operations as needed, including bussing tables and assisting with cleaning and sanitising
Requirements:
- 1+ years of experience as a Hostess or similar role in a fast-paced restaurant environment
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to provide warm and friendly service to guests
- Ability to multitask and prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment, with strong attention to detail
- A friendly and professional demeanour, with the ability to remain calm and composed in a busy restaurant environment
- Basic computer skills, with experience using reservation systems and basic Microsoft Office programs
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and evenings in Quayside Isle, Sentosa
