Job Description

Marketing Executive (9 Months Traineeship, with Possibility of Conversion to Full-time Position)

  1. Coordinate /design thought leadership articles, newsletters, EDMs and campaign collaterals to advocate responsible business practices 
  2. Interview GCNS members and produce sustainability stories (including written or audio-visual formats) for wider digital consumption 
  3. Manage GCNS' Facebook and LinkedIn pages and craft social media content 
  4. Assist with managing and updating content on GCNS’ website
  5. Liaise with vendor on marketing collaterals
  6. Assist with other administrative and ad hoc duties that may be required by Project Managers 

Requirements 

  1. Nitec/Higher Nitec/Diploma in Mass Communications or related disciplines, with at least 1 year hands-on experience/exposure in marketing, corporate communications and/or advertising 
  2. Knowledge in various virtual event platforms (e.g. Zoom, Google Meets, MS Teams), and willing to explore alternatives as required 
  3. Knowledge and experience using design softwares (e.g. Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Canva) and video editing softwares (e.g. Final Cut, iMovie, Powtoon) 
  4. Knowledge of WordPress/HTML/CSS, Google Adwords and experience in copywriting 
  5. Possess initiative to look for alternative solutions and help out the team whenever needed 
  6. Research capabilities for report writing, data collection and analysis 
  7. Goal-oriented with a mature disposition to take ownership of projects and targets assigned
  8. Strong communicator (written and verbal); comfortable engaging with a wide range of stakeholders across different sectors, regions and seniority levels 
  9. Possess a positive work ethic and determination in achieving targets within tight deadlines with minimal supervision 
  10.  Accept that OT is necessary at times 
  11. A good understanding of sustainability and the SDGs 
  12. Able to work within a small team dynamic 
  13. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint required
