About the role
We are looking for a hardware engineer intern to assist in end-to-end product development. Candidates with embedded/software development capabilities are highly preferred.
You will understand customer requirements, complete hardware design, coordinate with factories, and follow through projects to final delivery.
Our main products: smart parcel lockers, smart storage lockers, self-service kiosks and similar hardware solutions.
What you'll be doing
- Translate customer requirements into hardware system design, functional specifications and architecture planning for practical product implementation.
- Conduct schematic design, PCB design, BOM preparation, hardware debugging and testing.
- Create technical drawings including mechanical, structural, installation and wiring diagrams to support customisation and production.
- Prepare technical documents: product specifications, test reports, work instructions and project documentation.
- Liaise directly with factories (moulding, electronics, assembly) for prototyping, pilot run and mass production, and resolve manufacturing issues.
- Communicate with customers for requirement clarification, project follow-up, on-site support, acceptance testing and after-sales troubleshooting.
- Support or independently develop basic control logic, firmware and system integration (software/embedded capability is a strong plus).
What we're looking for
- Diploma/degree or currently pursuing Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics or related field
- Proficiency in using CAD software, particularly AutoCAD, for schematic capture and PCB layout
- Familiar with electronic components, power circuits, control boards, sensors, locks, motors and peripheral driving circuits. Able to read and create technical/mechanical drawings for customer customization and factory production.
- Experience with parcel lockers, storage lockers, self-service equipment or smart cabinet systems is highly preferred.
- Basic C language, embedded system, MCU or PLC programming skills are a strong advantage.
- Legally eligible to work in Singapore.
- Good communication skills in English and/or Chinese.
