At Genconnects we develop novel rehabilitative games based on research to provide engagement and social interaction with a focus on intergenerational bonding while providing rehabilitation. Our offerings stimulate sensory, cognitive and motor skills that can keep seniors active holistically, and in addition to that, host an ecosystem that assess and track these skills. Our games come in various forms, from table top multi-sensory sensory cognitive kits to large interactive walls and soothing, welcoming multi-sensory environments. They are intended to tie in with the phone application, HealthLink and hope to build an ecosystem that is able to better enhance senior care and potentially prevent decline.
GenConnects is seeking an intern to work on design related assignments, primarily on developing content strategy and visuals for community and client engagement, managing social media platforms and website designs, as well as product and design installation, which can extend to training and implementation delivery. We are seeking a driven individual that is well equipped with design and Photoshop knowledge, with product design/visual communication skills preferred. Excellent design skills supported by portfolio would be helpful for the application.
Internship stipend of would be provided. $800 for polytechnic students and $1,000 for university undergraduates.
While internship period is flexible, it should be for at least 5 months between January and July 2019. Part time commitment can be negotiated.
