Established in 1966, the General Insurance Association of Singapore (GIA) is working to make all aspects of insurance easier and more effective for consumers, agents and insurance companies in Singapore.

As a Trade Association, GIA's role is to be active in the business community representing the interests of its member companies. GIA helps identify emerging trends and responds to issues affecting the General Insurance industry. It seeks to promote the overall growth and development of the General Insurance sector in Singapore.

GIA encompasses all non-life insurance companies transacting business in Singapore. We are also constantly in the process of improving and achieving our mission and structure to ensure that it continues to meet the business needs of its member companies.

Job Description

The Intern will be involved in:-

1) Sales Planning and Forecasting
-contribute to planning and forecasting for entire region
-contribute to the successful administration of sales related data and deliver on the relevant reports
-act as reference point for planning queries
2) Sales Reporting
-responsible for the in-time production of country sales planning
-quality checking and consolidation for all locatl sales figures
3) Sales Marketing Initiatives
-provide support and advice to local management teams
4) Market Management
-regularly and promptly communicate progress, issues and deviation from agreed plans and actions to management.
5) Sales Management Tools
-proactively contribute to the development and continuous enhancements of the global sales management processes and tools
They should preferably have:-

1) Influencing skills: ability to persuade and motivate others to act, without executive authority.

2) Analytical skills: ability to analyze highly complex data, form multiple sources, in detail; identify and resolve issues before they transpire.
