About the Role
We are looking for a skilled and creative 3D Product Designer to support us on a project basis, developing printable, functional, and aesthetically pleasing products for children. Projects will range from simple organizational products to customized accessories. This is ideal for a designer who’s practical, fast, and has an eye for consumer appeal.
Responsibilities
• Design simple, functional products off concepts provided
• Create clean, production-ready 3D models with correct tolerances, sizing, and print orientation in mind
• Incorporate feedback and iterate quickly based on test prints and team input
• Prepare STL, .3ds and native working files, and organize them for easy use and reference
• Collaborate with the internal team to translate rough ideas, sketches, or inspiration into printable designs
• Ensure all designs are tested for printability, strength, and usability
Requirements
• Proficiency in 3D design software (e.g. Fusion 360, SolidWorks, Rhino, TinkerCAD for simple tasks)
• Understanding of FDM 3D printing constraints and design-for-print principles
• Experience with consumer product design or practical objects (even self-initiated work counts)
• Familiarity with common materials and slicing settings used in Bambu Lab printers
• Ability to work independently and manage project deadlines
Nice to Have
• Experience designing baby or lifestyle products
• Portfolio of 3D printable designs (Thingiverse, Printables, personal site, etc.)
• Knowledge of color/material/finish considerations for multi-color printing
• Interest in sustainable design or modular product concepts
