Gargantua Robot Pte Ltd (subsidiary) is a newly setup Singapore office of SLAMTEC CO. LTD. We are building a team in Singapore to cater to the international customers that we've gained over the years. Our product range consists of Lidar Sensor, robot base and robot as a service.

Job Description

We are seeking motivated and enthusiastic robotics engineering interns to join our team. You will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge robotics technology, engage in real-world industrial projects with direct impact and gain hands-on experience in building, and testing robotic systems. You will work closely with our experienced engineers, and gain valuable insights into the robotics industry. Our internship program is focused on providing valuable learning opportunities to students who are passionate about robotics and eager to develop their skills.

Roles and responsibilities:

  1. Understand the service robot completely, software, hardware, positioning logic.
  2. Deploy and demonstrate of robots at the customers' sites.
  3. Provide training to users and restaurant managers.
  4. On-site technical support and repair.
  5. Understand customer's workflow, design the automated workflow according to customer's business needs, which addresses the customer's pain point.
  6. Buddy system within the company for better internal training and coaching.
  7. System integration opportunity to handle complex projects.
  8. Configuration & testing of devices and sensors used in Robotics applications
  9. Documentation on SOPs, test procedure
  10. The interns will learn how a real robot works in the restaurant and other environment. Understand the LiDAR sensor, SLAM and marker system etc.
  11. Any other ad-hoc duties assigned

Job Requirements

  1. Pursuing a degree / diploma in robotics, mechanical engineering, mechatronics, electronics engineering, electrical engineering, computer engineering.
  2. Min. Commitment 3 months and above, with possibility to convert full time depending on performance and company’s needs.
  3. Strong foundation in robotic framework, for example ROS, Python etc.
  4. Some knowledge on programming in Linux environments
  5. Easy going, positive attitude and good communication skills.
  6. Proficiency in programming languages such as C++ and Python.
  7. A passion for robotics and a desire to learn and grow in the field.
  8. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  9. Familiarity with robotic hardware and software systems.
