			Job Description
				
Gajah Gallery is Singapore-based art gallery that explores the diverse socio-cultural interests of Asia through art from the region. Established in 1996, Gajah Gallery is dedicated to the promotion of Southeast Asian Contemporary Art, with a particular emphasis on Indonesian Contemporary Art. The Gallery has collaborated with numerous art institutions, such as The Singapore Art Museum and the National University of Singapore Museum on several exhibitions. Gajah Gallery aims to continually explore contemporary practice through the work of regional artists, while at the same time giving these artists the exposure their work deserves.
The Gallery is located in the heart of Singapore’s Arts & Heritage district. The Gallery's wide client-base includes private collectors, art consultants, architects and interior designers.
======= Job Scope =======
The intern will be assisting the gallery designer and be highly involved in the design process of the following:
• Business proposals
• Gallery publications
• Invitations, merchandise etc.
Also, the intern is expected to undertake basic sales tasks at the gallery, i.e. attend to visitors, engage potential buyers in correspondence etc.
======= Job requirements =======
Students from the field of Design and Communication may apply.
Prospective interns should be:
• Highly communicative and pleasant personality
• Adept in Adobe Creative Suite CS4
• Punctual, efficient, and takes initiatives
• Knowledge of Art, Art History and Bahasa Indonesia would be highly advantageous
• Must be well-groomed and able to handle clients
